NSW: Teenager killed in fall from cliff at Sydney beach
A teenager has fallen 15m to his death from a cliff at a popular Sydney beach.
Emergency services were called to Dunningham Reserve, Coogee Beach about 4.10pm on Tuesday after reports a boy had fallen from cliffs.
NSW Ambulance paramedics located the 17-year-old boy, but he could not be revived.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
Witnesses should make a report to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online.
It comes just over a year since a 20-year-old man fell to his death from cliffs at the north end of Coogee Beach.
Dion Papanakos fell 25m to his death on January 8, as his girlfriend watched on in horror.
Dunningham Reserve is part of the Eastern Beaches Coastal walkway, connecting Coogee, Clovelly and Bondi beaches to the north, and Maroubra to the south.
“The coastal walkway is popular with visitors to the area, as well as regular local exercisers,” according to Randwick City Council.
