He has pleaded guilty to multiple charges of fraud.

Crowe, who worked as a bookkeeper for Melbourne River Cruises and who also worked for Melbourne-based business onQ, used the money to bet, gamble and finance a cocaine addiction, the court had previously heard.

From 2014-2017 Crowe, who has five children, pleaded guilty to siphoning more than $710,000 from Melbourne River Cruises, while repeating the offence from 2017-2020 at onQ, to the tune of slightly more than $790,000.

In the County Court of Victoria on Monday Crowe’s lawyers told the court they intend to submit fresh medical reports prior to his sentencing.

His lawyer told the court a psychiatric report suggested Crowe had bi polar.

But Judge Duncan Allen probed this suggestion, saying Crowe had no history of depression or mania.

The court was also told Crowe denied having any mental health conditions.

The prosecutor said in the event of the defence tabling a psychiatric report they would call their own medical expert.

Crowe’s next court date is listed for August 12.
